We are looking for a Junior Analyst (Part-Time, 50%) to support our investment team with market research, due diligence, and general support. This is an excellent opportunity for students or early-career professionals interested in venture capital, impact investment, and sustainable ocean engineering solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Startup Due Diligence: Assist in evaluating startups, analyzing the technical feasibility, performance assessment, environmental impact, business models, competitive landscape, and market potential.
• Market Research: Conduct research on emerging trends in the ocean economy, including renewable offshore energy, maritime decarbonization, and sustainable marine solutions.
• Investment Analysis: Support financial modeling, benchmarking, and sector comparisons to help assess investment opportunities.
• Industry Monitoring: Track developments in climate-tech, blue economy startups, as well as relevant policies in Southeast Asia and globally.
• Comprehensive Team Support: Assist with investor updates and other strategic projects as needed.

Who we are looking for

• Student or recent graduate with a strong foundation in engineering (marine, maritime, civil, climate tech, offshore), naval architecture, infrastructure, maritime-related research experience, business economics or finance is preferred.
• Passionate about venture capital, sustainability, and the ocean economy.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to conduct in-depth research and synthesize findings.
• Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, and market research tools.
• A pro-active individual with exceptional communication skills, able of working independently and demonstrating meticulous attention to detail.
• Able to work on-site at our Singapore office (this is not a remote position).
• Besides a fluency in English, the ideal candidate possesses advanced proficiency in a second Southeast Asian language.
• This position is also suitable for working professionals who are engaged in another professional activity up to 50% of the time.
